WELCOME!

This page contains some of the materials (activities, assessments, handouts) that I use in courses that I teach.

If you are an instructor, please feel free to use any materials that you believe may be useful in your courses; in particular, you are welcome to pull questions and tasks from my activities and incorporate them into your own class.  I'd appreciate feedback on how things went, or information about any adaptations you made that enhanced the effectiveness of the activity you used.

If you use most or all of an activity or handout on this site, I'd appreciate attribution (in the form of a footnote or similar).

Teacher Writing a Formula on a Blackboard

This section contains writing assignments that I have used in my capstone course for preservice secondary mathematics teachers. Also included in this section is a sample writing assignment by Dr. Priya Prasad, used in her content course for preservice elementary teachers.

This section contains links to Lesson Launch videos that I have created for my Precalculus and Calculus II courses.  All videos are hosted on YouTube and are ad-free.  (Precalculus videos are roughly aligned to Sullivan's Trigonometry with Applications, and Calculus II videos are roughly aligned to Calculus: Single and Multivariable by Hughes Hallett et al.)

IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES

This section contains in-class activities that I have used in my precalculus and calculus classes.
